Data Providers CART and LRA Worldwide Join Cornell Center for Hospitality Research

Ithaca, NY, August 3, 2010 – The Center for Advanced Retail Technology (CART) and LRA Worldwide, Inc. (LRA) have become the newest friends of the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR). As Friends of the Center, CART and LRA will support the center's research program, in part by supplying data to CHR research fellows. With CART and LRA, the CHR has a total of 81 corporate partners and friends.

"The addition of LRA and CART means that our researchers will be able to analyze the key elements of customer satisfaction and to examine leading retail management strategies and developments," said Professor Rohit Verma, executive director of the Center for Hospitality Research. "Our many friends and partners provide a rich data environment so that we can offer research that improves the hospitality industry and related service business practices."

The Center for Advanced Retail Technology brings the Retail 3.0™ vision to a live retail environment and educational center. Its mission: to enhance industry learning through hands-on, behind-the-scenes views into new and forthcoming technologies and discussion focused on changing business practices. Data capabilities at CART support relevant marketing and value to each shopper while providing quantitative and qualitative measures for everything happening in-store. Educational sessions to understand the new retail ecosystem are guided by experienced team members. Visitors are immersed in the retail experience, then shown the supporting infrastructure enabling the emerging Retail 3.0™ ecosystem.

LRA Worldwide, Inc. is a leading consulting and research company in the emerging discipline of Customer Experience Management.
