“We just finished our GOT II department head meeting, and at the end, we called up several associates and did some role playing using the video and cards. Everybody participated in the conversation…and the results were tangible.
As we were leaving the office, my produce manager, who normally spends 100% of his time in produce, saw that there were several carts on the lot and said ‘Come on, let's go get carts.’ WOW! My floral clerk saw a customer waiting for help in service deli while the service deli clerk was in the back room. Instead of asking the customer to hold on, she just hopped right back behind the counter and serviced the customer herself.
All of the associates agreed that this is something that everyone in the store should participate in. So, to sum it up, this was a great exercise for my associates and I know this can only help us get better!”
