Sales Director - Horsham, PA, USA
Overall Description and Direct Report:
The Sales Director is responsible for developing and generating sales and new business opportunities by executing outbound sales calls to prospects, communicating and differentiating LRA’s various offerings and value proposition to those prospects, and for generating qualified leads and closing on new business. Candidate should have experience in consultative solution-selling, and the sale of services. Candidate will be offering and selling to prospects a range of LRA “Customer Experience” research/performance measurement services including: Quality Assurance Audit/Evaluation Programs, Mystery Shopping Programs, Customer Satisfaction Survey Programs and Tracking Studies, Employee Research Programs, Custom Research Studies, etc.
The Sales Director reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying prospects, entering prospect contact information in the LRA database, calling the prospect, communicating and pitching LRA’s offerings, sending out pertinent information, and generating qualified leads.
- In conjunction with the Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, candidate will help develop the prospect list and directed marketing initiatives to those prospects.
- Make outbound sales calls, follow-up with the prospect and generate related e-mail and written correspondence to maintain contact with the prospect.
- Arrange and schedule calls with qualified leads with LRA Subject Matter Experts (SME) to discuss LRA offerings in greater detail with the prospect.
- Follow-up with prospect to maintain interest and generate proposal.
- Work with SME, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing and Operations to develop pricing and proposals.
- Manage the lead pipeline and follow-through to close.
- Work with the LRA Marketing team in the preparation, design and content of customized client presentations, proposals, pitch books, pdf documents, etc.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings with Sales and Account team to collectively review and develop business development opportunities with new and existing accounts.
- Responsible for working with Senior Management, Sales and Account team to help further develop and refine LRA’s offerings and target markets/industries.
- Travel to and meet with prospects to effectively present LRA’s value proposition and/or a specific proposal in a credible and professional fashion.
Experience Required:
- 5-7 years of sales/business development/marketing experience demonstrated by meeting and exceeding sales goals through generating a large volume of calls.
- Knowledge and ability to use needs-based solution-selling skills.
- Ability to generate and manage leads through the sales pipeline.
- Financial acumen with an understanding of the basics of pricing.
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contact management software.
- Strong verbal and written skills with an ability to engage in effective oral and written communications.
- A self-starter with the ability and motivation to work independently is required.
- Ability to travel to meet prospects/clients and attend conventions and conferences.
- MBA degree a plus.
Compensation
Compensation is in the form of a base salary in the $65-75,000 range, with performance bonuses based on hitting predefined sales targets.
